Rhino Christmas Cards
Only very few rhinos survive outside national parks and reserves today as a result of relentless poaching and habitat loss. A sub-species of Asian rhino, Javan, became extinct in Vietnam in 2011 and in Africa, the northern white rhino and western black rhino have recently gone extinct in the wild (http://wwf.panda.org/knowledge_hub/endangered_species/rhinoceros/african_rhinos/). Conservation efforts working alongside rural communities are helping, but education is key to their survival.
As a conservation artist who creates art with my daughter whilst teaching her about the importance of conservation, I now also teach conservation through art at nursery schools. Jane Goodall's Roots & Shoots is a truly incredible organisation that helps facilitate the education of children in conservation, and this is why a donation of five percent of all profits made from the sale of these baby rhino Christmas cards will go there to help funding.
