Introducing Ella, the sea turtle with her babies Flopsy, Mopsy and Purdle, as my daughter has named them, brought to life to celebrate all that they are for World Turtle Day on 23rd May 2019.
Sadly, six of the seven species of sea turtles worldwide are endangered as a result of poaching for their shells, eggs and meat, habitat destruction, climate change and entanglement in fishing nets, fishing gear and plastic. Did you know that global warming has an impact on turtle nesting sites? It changes the temperature of the sand, which then affects the sex of hatchlings.
This heartfelt, alluring image would add colourful charm to any space. Ten percent of all profits from the sale of this print will also go to Plastic Oceans UK.
